About Play Week West

 

Our host for Play Week West is the University of Denver, whose campus is known for its beautiful landscapes and stunning architecture. With 300 days of sunshine a year, the majestic Rocky Mountains will almost always be in view and are only a short car ride away. Downtown Denver, with its first-class museums, shopping, and fine restaurants, is just a 10-minute ride from campus by light rail. The city’s airport is a hub for several major airlines.

Housing: We are housed in Nagel Hall, a spacious, modern dormitory on the west side of campus. The accommodations are single rooms within four-bedroom suites with kitchens, bathrooms, and large living rooms, well suited for group playing. 

 

Food: For meals, you may enjoy one of the many restaurants nearby, prepare food in your suite, or purchase single meals at the dining hall in Nelson Hall, right next door. A couple of group dinners will be planned as well.

For cellists flying in from out of town who cannot bring their instruments, we will assist in locating ones to rent locally.

Fees

There is a $50 discount to tuition for early payment by March 23rd. The $50 discount applies to all participants, both on campus and commuters, paying in full. It does not apply to guests.

 

A deposit of $200 is required upon registration and is generally not refundable after May 10. Full payment is due by May 10 to receive assignments.
